More Jobs in NC

North Carolina’s employment numbers have continued to improve in the past few months.  In fact, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, North Carolina showed the nation’s second largest increase in employment for March in which 19,400 jobs were added. The unemployment rate has now fallen to 6.3%. North Carolina has led the nation in the rate of decline in the unemployed. Additionally, our state’s 6.3% unemployment rate is the lowest that it has been in more than five years.

These improvements have stemmed from our improving economy that is rebounding strongly from the recession.  The recent tax breaks for North Carolinians and small businesses have allowed growth and jobs to be injected into our state.
