Yesterday, Governor Beverly Perdue announced that she will not be running for reelection. The news comes on the heels of her refusal to debate Senate President Pro Tempore Phil Berger about her desire to raise North Carolina taxes by $750 million. Gov. Perdue was out of touch with what North Carolina citizens wanted or needed in this economy. Raising taxes would take money out of our pockets to fund more government bureaucracy and waste. We look forward to a strong conservative Republican replacing Gov. Perdue’s seat in November.
