I want to personally thank each and every veteran and soldier who has fought for our country. Memorial Day is a day for us to remember not only those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, but to honor those who continue to do so. We have thousands of those who serve in our District 19 and I think we can all attest to how difficult it is to not only serve but to love and care about those who do. So to all of the families and friends of our past and present soldiers – thank you. Thank you for holding strong while your loved ones are over seas; thank you for providing love and support so they can do their job; most of all, thank you for letting them serve to protect our country. If it were not for these soldiers who protect us, I wouldn’t have the right to come up to Raleigh and vote on bills and debate legislation. Thank you again to all of our military personnel for ALL that you do!
